Refer the client.
Keep the relationship.

We work with accountants, agents, planners, conveyancers and employers whose people need finance. You stay the trusted adviser. We handle the lending and report back.

Why it works

A referral is a risk to your relationship, not just a favour.

When you send a client to a broker, your name is on it. If they are slow, unreachable, or the loan falls over a week before settlement, the client remembers who recommended them.

That is the whole basis of how we work with partners. You get told what is happening before the client asks you. Nothing is cross-sold behind your back. And the client comes back to you, not to us, for the advice that is yours to give.

What partners get

  • A named broker, not a call centre queue
  • A written update every week while a deal is live
  • Residential, commercial, development and asset finance in one place
  • Honest answers early, including when the answer is no
  • Your client returns to you for everything that is not lending
  • Referral arrangements documented in writing before anything starts

The numbers

What you're putting your name to.

Your client's experience reflects on you. This is what sits behind the referral.

Settlement and approval timeframes, settled volumes and client numbers reflect our own records and are not a guarantee of any individual outcome. Google rating is current as at the date of publication.

Programs

Two ways to work with us.

Different relationships, same standard of service behind them.

01 / Referral partners

For professionals whose clients need finance.

You already have the relationship and the trust. We take the lending off your desk and keep you informed while we do it.

  • Accountants and bookkeepers
  • Real estate agents and buyers agents
  • Financial planners and advisers
  • Conveyancers and property lawyers
  • Builders and project marketers

02 / Corporate and member programs

For organisations offering finance as a benefit.

A structured arrangement where your staff, members or franchisees get direct access to a finance team, at no cost to the organisation.

  • Employers and HR teams
  • Franchise groups and networks
  • Industry bodies and associations
  • Clubs and member organisations
  • Developers offering buyer finance support

How it works

Four steps, and almost none of them are yours.

01

We agree the terms

A short conversation, then a written referral agreement covering how clients are introduced and what, if anything, is paid.

02

You introduce the client

An email, a call, or a form, whatever fits how you already work. Their details, and what they are trying to do.

03

We take it from there

We contact them, assess the position, structure the lending and manage the application through to settlement.

04

You stay in the loop

You hear from us at the milestones that matter, and we tell you if something is going sideways before the client does.

You make the introduction. We do the rest.

Weekly partner update

You'll know where the deal is before your client asks you.

Every referral partner with a live deal gets a written update from us each week. It is not a newsletter. It is a status report on your clients, so you are never the last to know.

It stops the awkward call where a client asks how their loan is going and you have to admit you have no idea. When a deal settles, the updates stop until you send us the next one.

LC Partner Update Weekly, while a deal is live
  • Where each application sits right now
  • What is outstanding, and who it is sitting with
  • What happens next, and roughly when
  • Anything that needs you or the client
  • Settlement dates as they are confirmed

The arrangement

Documented, disclosed, and run properly.

Referral arrangements in credit are regulated. We put ours in writing before any client is introduced, and any benefit a referrer receives is disclosed to the client as part of their credit documentation.

It protects your licence and your reputation as much as ours. If you have never set one up before, we will walk you through what is required.

What we will cover

  • How clients are introduced and recorded
  • What a referrer can and cannot say about credit
  • Whether a referral fee applies, and how it is disclosed
  • Privacy and consent for sharing client details
  • How and when we report back to you

Common questions

What partners usually ask first.

Does it cost my clients anything?

No. On a standard residential loan the lender pays us a commission at settlement, and that is disclosed to the client in writing before they apply. Some commercial, development and specialist transactions carry a fee, which is always told to the client up front.

Do I get paid for referrals?

That depends on the arrangement and on what you are licensed to do. Some partners take a referral fee, some prefer a reciprocal arrangement, and some want nothing at all. Whatever we agree goes in writing, and anything you receive is disclosed to the client.

Will you cross-sell my clients?

No. We handle the lending. Accounting, advice, conveyancing and the sale itself stay with you, and we send clients back to you when those questions come up.

How will I know what is happening with my client?

While you have a deal with us, you get a written update every week covering where the application sits, what is outstanding and what happens next. You should not have to ask, and you should not hear it from the client first.

How much work is this for me?

An introduction. You pass on the client's details and what they are trying to achieve, and we take it from there. You do not collect documents, chase lenders or explain loan products.

What if my client's situation is complicated?

That is usually when a referral is worth most. Self-employed income, trusts, multiple entities, commercial security and development funding are routine work for us rather than reasons to hand the file back.

Can you work with clients outside Sydney?

Yes. We are based at Norwest in Sydney but work with clients right across Australia. Most of the process runs by phone, email and video, so where your client lives makes very little difference to how it is handled.

Let's talk about how it would work.

Tell us about your clients and how you'd want referrals handled. We'll tell you plainly whether a partnership makes sense for both sides.
